ARTIST BIO

Jackson Hunt is a Modoc artist from Portland, OR. Jackson is a graduate of Pratt Institute and received his BFA in painting in 2010. Jackson uses figurative imagery and combines the use of traditional renaissance painting aesthetics with modern imagery derived from life and photography. He has worked for artists such as Doug and Mike Starn on the “Big Bambu” project at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Vahap Avsar in his private studio. He is currently embarking on a cross-country plein-air painting trip with fellow, artist Eric Diehl.
