ARTIST BIO
Momogeeshick is an Anishnawbe-Sioux North American Indian from the Great Lakes region of Canada. Born into a semi-nomadic family, Momogeeshick was raised by his great-grandparents in the traditional customs and spiritual ways of the Woodlands-Plains Native people.
Ron is a visual artist concentrating on rock sculpting and paintings of wildlife. He has lived and traveled throughout North America educating the public about the importance of Native American cultures and spiritual traditions.
His Native roots have led him on his own spiritual journey into his current career. His workshops have included storytelling to all ages, traditional Native puppetry, rock and wood sculpting, and other Native crafts. Momogeeshick has also led activities such as designing and building original Anishnawbe teepees, sweat lodges and birch bark canoes.
