American Indian Artists (AMERINDA), Inc. founded in 1987, is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation, governed by an all-Indian Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is supported by an Advisory Council of Natives and non-Natives who share our vision and commitment, and a Traditional Circle of Elders, which provides the organization with an inward voice for revitalization and renewal. AMERINDA is supported by a variety of government, foundation and corporate grants, as well as individual donations and direct mail solicitations. This newsletter is published by AMERINDA - American Indian Arts Organization and is available to Native Peoples in the western hemisphere working to advance the indigenous perspective in the Arts.

MISSION
American Indian Artists Inc. advocates, enhances and promotes continued growth of emerging and established Native artists of the Americas in the visual, performing,literary and media arts, through a variety of programs and services in New York City, one of the main communications and cultural centers of the Americas. AMERINDA resolves to support the traditional practices and values that define Indian culture through the blessing of the elders.
