Beauty Surrounds Us: This exhibition of 77 works from the museum's collection will inaugurate the new Diker Pavilion for Native Arts and Cultures. Beauty Surrounds Us features an elaborate Quechua girl's dance outfit, a Northwest Coast chief's staff with carved animal figures and crest designs, Seminole turtle shell dance leggings, a conch shell trumpet from pre-Columbian Mexico, a Navajo saddle blanket, and an Inupiak (Eskimo) ivory cribbage board. The exhibition includes two interactive media stations, at which visitors may access in-depth descriptions of each object and, through virtual imaging technology, view and rotate a selection of the objects to examine them more closely.

American Abstraction: Dialogue with the Cosmos. An installation designed and made for the
Montclair Museum, Montclair NJ by NAAR artist
Kay Walking Stick. The installation includes 28 hanging oil on paper paintings based
on northern plains indigenous women's parfleche bags. It is in the Laurie Art Stairway and
can be seen from Bloomfield Ave. as well as inside the museum. It will be hanging for the

(Pocahontas/ Lady of the Court), Marshall Coid (King James I). The Queen's Chamber Band. Part 1 premiered
in 2006, Part 2 in 2007. Both parts of Pocahontas were performed at the Indian Wing at the Smithsonian in 2007.
The CD includes Choctaw Diaries which has never been performed in public. Featuring Timothy Archambault
on Native flute and the Bronx Arts Ensemble.
